In fact, he constantly insists on bringing his model D'deridex Warbird and Sovereign-class cruiser with him to his new assignments, and hanging them from the ceiling of his quarters. Otherwise, Irs' main hobbies are drinking and tinkering with whatever equipment he is working with. |
| Personal History | Irs Fenuz* is an architect, engineer, doctor, and occasional scientist who has been working with Starfleet for several years. While he has demonstrated considerable talent, his past is checkered, and considered very difficult. Irs was born to Veko and Ojes Fenuz in 2380, five years after the Dominion War ended. While Bajor itself was far into its rebuilding program, Veko and Ojes were deep in poverty from losing most of their belongings and income during the war. Thus, Irs was raised in some of the most violent and run-down parts of Bajor. However, in spite of the poor conditions and opposition from his peers, Irs did well in any school he went to. In particular, he excelled in mathematics and science. Several years later, Irs briefly contemplated a job as an architect, but he instead chose to send an application to Starfleet Academy. Irs' reasons for doing so are unclear, though he has been quoted as doing it because "there wasn't any use for an antimatter guy on Bajor. That, and architectures is boring as f***." Regardless of his reasons, Irs' application was accepted immediately, and he proceeded to Earth, where he studied in the Academy. Once he arrived, Irs developed a reputation for great academic performance, but being very aggressive and antisocial. He proved himself worthy of the reputation by graduating at the top of his class in the engineering fields, along with performing very well in medicine. Irs made few friends, but he was quickly selected to serve as an engineering or medical officer on several starships. Currently, he is the Chief Engineer of the U.S.S. Cychreides. Hopefully, he won't get thrown out the airlock for excessive swearing. |
